Ukraine's central bank buys US$184 mln on Nov 25-29

The regulator sold no foreign currency for the sixth week in a row.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought US$184 million on the interbank forex market on November 25-29, which was 1.5 times up from the figure reported on the previous week, November 18-22.

Over the period under review, the regulator did not sell any foreign currency for the sixth week in a row, the NBU said on its website on November 29.

Since the beginning of the year, the central bank's purchases of foreign currency have exceeded sales by almost 11 times, or by US$5 billion, the regulator said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank in October 2019 bought US$193.9 million on the interbank forex market to replenish the country's international reserves.
