The document was signed by the parliament speaker on December 2 and then sent to President Volodymyr Zelensky for signing, according to the parliament's website.

When asked at a briefing after the Conciliation Council meeting why the budget had not been signed for so long, Razumkov said the deadlines had been observed.

"Our offices were finalizing it to get a high-quality document. There was technical work. Moreover, I was on a business trip. So, I think that it definitely will not affect the budget, because we adopted it fast enough, quite efficiently and not like they in parliament [parliamentarians of the previous convocations] used to pass it just before Christmas Eve," the speaker added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada on November 14 passed the bill on the national budget for 2020 in the second reading and as a whole. It was finalized with the updated government forecast for GDP growth set at 3.7%.
