As reported by the press office of the Ukrainian government, the relevant agreements were reached during a meeting between Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk with French President Francois Hollande.

The large-scale privatization and introduction of the free trade zone with the EU staring from January 1, 2016 will open up new opportunities for trade and investment projects, the head of Ukrainian government said.

Yatseniuk also said that combatting corruption remains a priority for the Ukrainian government, and he invited French experts to consult on issues related to the fight against money-laundering and investigation of corruption crimes committed by former Ukrainian officials.

Furthermore, Yatseniuk and Hollande discussed the implementation of the Minsk Agreement, according to the press office.

"The prime minister informed the French President on the steps undertaken by the Ukrainian side regarding the strict observance of the Minsk Agreement,” the press service said. In turn, Hollande noted “the important role of the international community in supporting Ukraine's European choice and its reforms."

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk made a working visit to France on May 13, during which he had talks with the country's leadership, the leadership of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, as well as representatives of business circles of France.

Earlier, the Ukrainian government announced the holding of investment forums - in Germany and the United States - in June and July, in which top officials are expected to participate. In particular, the German-Ukrainian business forum will be held in late June in Berlin, and the Ukrainian-American business forum is scheduled for July 13 in Washington. The Ukrainian delegation will be headed by Prime Minister Yatseniuk.

On April 28, Kyiv hosted an international conference in support of reforms in Ukraine, which brought together representatives of 53 countries, including heads of governments and key Europeans commissioners. The event was originally planned as a donor conference in support of Donbas, but later the concept was transformed into the holding of several business events.
