Hryvnia updates four-year maximum at UAH 23.93 per U.S. dollar on Dec 5

The previous four-year maximum was set at UAH 23.94 per U.S. dollar on December 4.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the official forex rate of the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar for Thursday, December 5, at UAH 23.93 per U.S. dollar, which was the maximum indicator since January 2016, or almost in four years.

The previous four-year maximum was fixed at UAH 23.94 per U.S. dollar on December 4, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is UAH 26.52 per euro.

Trade on Ukraine's interbank forex market on Wednesday, December 4, closed at UAH 23.88/23.90 per U.S. dollar, while the hryvnia quotations to the euro were at UAH 26.51/26.53.

Ukraine's national currency in November 2019 strengthened by 3.4% against the U.S. dollar. Since the beginning of the year, the hryvnia has seen revaluation by 13.4%, to UAH 23.97 per U.S. dollar.
