Ukraine cuts revenue from ferrous metals exports by 10.5% in Jan-Nov

Ukrainian steelmakers in January-November 2019 reduced revenue from ferrous metals exports by 10.5% year-over-year (y-o-y) to US$8.217 billion, with their share in the country's exports at 17.88%.

Exports of metal products shrank by 7.3% to US$948.8 million, accounting for 2.06% of the country's total exports, the State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine said.

Over the period under review, Ukraine imported ferrous metals worth US$1.2 billion, while metal products imports totaled US$1.01 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine in 2018 boosted revenue from exports of ferrous metals by 14.2%, to US$9.937 billion from US$8.7 billion in 2017. At the same time, the foreign exchange earnings from metal products exports grew by 23.9%, to US$1.11 billion.
