Volume of deposits growing in Ukrainian banks

In November, it increased by 1.1% in hryvnia and by 1.7% in foreign currency.

The volume of hryvnia deposits in Ukrainian banks in November 2019 grew by 1.1%, to UAH 582.789 billion, and those in foreign currency (in dollar terms) – by 1.7%, to $16.060 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reports.

From year-start, the volume of hryvnia deposits was up 7.9%, and foreign currency – up 20.2%.

Hryvnia loan balances increased by 0.2% in November and by 1.6% from year-start, to UAH 620.629 billion.

The foreign currency loan balances decreased by 0.2% in November and by 6.4% from the beginning of the year, to $15.524 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the volume of hryvnia deposits in Ukrainian banks in 2018 grew by 10% to UAH 539.7 billion, and those in foreign currency decreased by 2.4%, to $13.4 billion.
