Finance Ministry borrows UAH 213 bln, US$4 bln, EUR 189 mln in bonds on Ukrainian market in Jan-Nov

Ukraine's Finance Ministry borrowed UAH 213.052 billion (US$8.99 billion), US$4.072 billion, and EUR 189 million for the national budget at weekly bond auctions to place government domestic loan bonds in January-November 2019.

Weighted average yield on government bonds placement shrank to 17.3% for securities in hryvnias and to 6% in dollars, while remaining at 4.6% in euros, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Payments on government bonds and coupon yield over the period under review stood at UAH 326.599 billion (US$13.8 billion), including UAH 260.678 billion (US$11 billion) to pay off the nominal value.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Finance Ministry in 2018 borrowed UAH 65.128 billion (US$2.7 billion), US$3.478 billion, and EUR 503 million for the national budget at weekly auctions to place government domestic loan bonds.
