July futures for North Sea Brent blend increased by 0.13% to $66.90 per barrel, while June futures for WTI crude oil were up by 0.22% to $59.82 per barrel.

Warplanes of the Arab coalition in charge of the military operations in Yemen resumed strikes against Yemen's Houthi militia in Aden after the expiry of a humanitarian ceasefire, according to one of the representatives of the Yemeni army.

The rise in the price of oil is also supported by the reports about the capture of the Iraqi city of Ramadi by the militants of a radical group Islamic State (IS). Elisa Smith, a US Navy commander and Pentagon spokeswoman, stated that the coalition led by the United States would help Iraqi forces to regain control of the city of Ramadi once its capture by ISIS militants was confirmed.
