Ukraine will sign a $1 billion loan guarantee agreement with the United States on Monday, the latest in a series of deals to shore up the Ukrainian government’s finances.
The official ceremony for the signing the Loan Guarantee Agreement will take place on Monday at 1700, reads a posting on the Web site of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The agreement will be signed by Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalia Jaresko on behalf of the government of Ukraine, while the U.S. government will be represented by the US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt and Regional Mission Director of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Jed Barton.
The event will take place in the Cabinet of Ministers' building.
