Hryvnia updates four-year maximum at UAH 23.47 per U.S. dollar on Dec 18

The previous four-year maximum was set at UAH 23.49 per U.S. dollar on December 17.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the official forex rate of the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar for Wednesday, December 18, at UAH 23.47 per U.S. dollar, which was the maximum indicator since January 2016.

The previous four-year maximum was fixed at UAH 23.49 per U.S. dollar on December 17, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Wednesday is UAH 26.20 per euro.

As UNIAN reported earlier, trade on Ukraine's interbank forex market on Tuesday, December 17, closed at UAH 23.45/23.47 per U.S. dollar, while the hryvnia quotations to the euro were at UAH 26.15/26.16.

Ukraine's national currency in November 2019 strengthened by 3.4% against the U.S. dollar. The hryvnia has also become stronger since the beginning of the year: by 13.4%, to UAH 23.97 per U.S. dollar.
