The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allowed NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine to sign with Russia's Gazprom a contract for transmitting Russian gas via Ukraine from 2020 to 2024.

Besides, the Cabinet agreed to Naftogaz signing with Gazprom a deal on rendering services for organizing the transmission of natural gas via Ukraine in 2020-2024.

As UNIAN reported, today, December 30, Ukraine and the Russian Gazprom signed a settlement agreement, according to which Ukraine withdraws a fine earlier imposed on Gazprom by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, amounting to about $7.4 billion.
In the early hours of Monday, a four-day negotiation process with Gazprom on gas transit via the territory of Ukraine from January 2020 completed in Vienna.
