Minimum wage up in Ukraine

From January 1, it's UAH 4,723 (almost US$200) per month.

The minimum wage in Ukraine from January 1, 2020, increased by UAH 550 ($23.09).

Now it amounts to UAH 4,723 (almost US$200) per month, or UAH 28.31 per hour.

These figures are laid down in the state budget for 2020.

In 2019, the minimum wage stood at UAH 4,173 ($175.20).

According to the state budget, in 2020 the subsistence minimum per month from January 1, 2020, will be UAH 2,027 ($85.10), from July 1 UAH 2,118 ($88.92), and from December 1 UAH 2,189 ($91.90).

For children under 6 years of age: from January 1, 2020 UAH 1,779 ($74.69), from July 1 UAH 1,859 ($78.05), and from December 1 UAH 1,921 ($80,65); children aged 6 to 18 years: from January 1, 2020, UAH 2,218 ($93.12), from July 1 UAH 2,318 ($97.32), and from December 1 UAH 2,395 ($100.55); able-bodied persons: from January 1 UAH 2,102 ($88.25), from July 1 UAH 2,197 ($92.24), and from December 1 UAH 2,270 ($95,30);  persons with disability: from January 1 UAH 1,638 ($68.77), from July 1 UAH 1,712 ($71.88), and from December 1 UAH 1,769 ($74.27).

Earlier, the size of the subsistence minimum increased from December 1: UAH 2,102 ($88.25) for able-bodied persons (against the previous figure of UAH 2,007 ($84.26)), UAH 1,638 ($68.77) for persons with disability (against UAH 1,564 ($65.66)), UAH 1,779 ($74.69) for children under 6 years of age (against UAH 1,699 ($71.33)), and UAH 2,218 ($93.12) for children from 6 to 18 years of age (against UAH 2,118 ($88.92).

As UNIAN reported earlier, on November 14, 2019, the Verkhovna Rada passed at second reading the 2020 Budget Bill, which had been finalized taking into account the updated government forecast with a GDP growth of 3.7%.
