Ukraine starts 2020 with record high funds on Treasury's account

The balance on the Treasury's single account as of January 1, 2020 was 1.8 times up from UAH 9,861 billion (US$416 million) posted on January 1, 2019.

The balance of funds on the single account of Ukraine's State Treasury Service was estimated at UAH 17.547 billion (US$741 million) as of January 1, 2020, which was 66.7% down from the figure recorded as of December 1, 2019, but a record high as of the beginning of the year.

At the same time, the balance on the single account as of January 1, 2020, was 1.8 times up from UAH 9,861 billion (US$416 million) posted on January 1, 2019, the State Treasury Service said on its website.

Despite the reduction of funds, the amount of money was a record high as of the beginning of the year. The previous maximum at UAH 17.015 billion (US$718 million) was reported in 2006.

In 2019, the minimum balance on the single account stood at UAH 8.196 billion (US$346 million) as of March 1, while the maximum one at UAH 61.83 billion (US$2.6 billion) as of September 1.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the balance of funds on the Treasury's single account was estimated at UAH 9.861 billion (US$416 million) as of January 1, 2019, which was 1.9 times up from the figure as of January 1, 2018.

The balance of funds on the single treasury account is not a constant value. It is subject to increases due to revenues from taxes and other mandatory payments to the state and local budgets and it decreases amid budget spending peaks.
