Ukraine achieves only 3% of privatization revenue target in 2019

The state budget of Ukraine in 2019 received UAH 536.5 million ($22.6 million) from the sale of state-owned assets, the press service of the State Property Fund reports.

"Last year, almost the same amount was spent on maintaining the work of the entire [state property] fund, that's UAH 481.5 million ($20.3 million)," DT.ua wrote, citing the SPF report.

While the state budget had initially laid down UAH 17.1 billion as a target for privatization proceeds in 2019, it was only implemented by 3.1%.

As previously reported, in November, the government decided to redistribute sources of financing for the general fund of the state budget over the failure to meet privatization revenue target in 2019.

According to the decree, financing of the state budget in "Borrowings" section was increased by UAH 16.4 billion due to a decrease in "Proceeds from the privatization of state-owned assets".
