"The state budget deficit was financed by borrowing, as revenues from privatization amounted to only UAH 0.5 billion ($20.3 million). In December, the Ministry of Finance, taking into account favorable conditions in the domestic market, carried out extra state borrowings in the amount of UAH 4.7 billion ($198 million) to prevent liquidity crisis in the state budget at the beginning of the financial year," it was informed.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the 2019 state budget laid down revenues at UAH 1.026 trillion ($43.3 billion), expenses at UAH 1.112 trillion ($46.9 billion), and a deficit ceiling at UAH 89.989 billion ($3.8 billion).
