Executive Director of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko has announced there are no agreements on direct gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine for the time being.
"There are no agreements on direct gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine," the official told a press conference on January 9.
However, Vitrenko added that the legislation does not ban legal entities from booking the capacities of Ukraine's gas transmission system (GTS) for gas imports from Russia to Ukraine.

In turn, CEO of Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) LLC Serhiy Makogon said the company had so far received no requests for reserving capacities, except for those from Naftogaz to fulfill its gas transit obligations.
