Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Tymofiy Mylovanov says lessee farmers will be able to buy land on preferential terms after the launch of the farmland market in Ukraine.

"At the price set through normative evaluation [and paid by installments] for seven years," he said at a press conference on January 13, related to the finalized bill on Ukraine's land market.
According to Mylovanov, this will be a tool for indirect state support for farmers.
The average price of one hectare of farmland set through normative evaluation in Ukraine is UAH 27,499 (US$1,149), according to the ministry.
