Ukraine’s budget revenues exceed expenditures by UAH 8.2 bln

The state budget of Ukraine had a surplus of UAH 8.201 billion in January-April 2015, against a deficit of UAH 6.930 billion in the same period last year, according to the data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance posted on its Web site.

The consolidated budget for the period thus had a surplus of UAH 18.493 billion, against a UAH 2.858 billion deficit in the previous year.

State budget revenues in January-April amounted to UAH 162.646 billion, which is UAH 42.091 billion, or 34.9%, more than in the same period last year. In comparable terms, excluding proceeds from the sale of 3G licenses, budget revenues increased by UAH 33.321 billion, or by 27.6%.

It was also reported that state budget revenues from privatization of state property in January-April amounted to UAH 113.6 million.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the state budget of Ukraine for the first quarter of 2015 had a surplus of UAH 3.6 billion, while the consolidated budget for the period had a deficit of UAH 272 million.

The current state budget of Ukraine for 2015 projects revenues of UAH 502.26 billion, and expenditures of UAH 566.870 billion, with the maximum volume of the deficit at UAH 75.820 billion, or 4.1% of GDP, and a debt ceiling at the level of UAH 1.394 trillion.

The actual budget deficit for 2014, including the issue of government bonds to compensate for differences in fees to local budgets for the purpose of VAT refunds amounted to UAH 78.07 billion, which was 20.7% more compared to 2013.
