Ukraine ranks 68th in Best Countries Overall Rankings 2020

Ukraine managed to outrun Tunisia, Belarus, Oman, Serbia and Lebanon.

Ukraine has ranked 68th out of 73 countries in the Best Countries Overall Rankings 2020.

The ranking was published by U.S. News & World Report magazine, the TV news service TSN.ua wrote on January 15.

Thus, Ukraine "outran" Tunisia, Belarus, Oman, Serbia and Lebanon.

Switzerland, Canada and Japan form the TOP 3. Germany, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Norway joined the TOP 10.

Russia ranked 23rd, Poland – 34th, Slovakia – 52nd, Romania – 54th. Hungary and Moldova have not been included in the ranking.

The study and model used to score and rank countries were developed by BAV Group and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

The 2020 Best Countries report and rankings are based on how global perceptions define countries in terms of a number of qualitative characteristics, impressions that have the potential to drive trade, travel and investment and directly affect national economies. The report covers perceptions of 73 nations.

Attributes were grouped into nine subrankings that rolled into the Best Countries ranking: Adventure, Citizenship, Cultural Influence, Entrepreneurship, Heritage, Movers, Open for Business, Power and Quality of Life.

Thus, Ukraine has the highest indicators in Power subranking (reflects the importance of the country in the international arena) and Adventure subranking (opportunities for tourism). The worst indicators are seen in Open for Business and Quality of Life subrankings.
