NBU replenishes int'l reserves by US$100 mln on Jan 13-17

The regulator sold no foreign currency over the period under review.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on January 13-17, 2020, replenished the country's international reserves by US$100 million.

Over the period under review, the regulator did not sell the currency, according to the NBU's website.

Since the beginning of the year, the central bank has replenished the reserves by US$268 million, the regulator said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the central bank in 2018 bought US$7.933 billion on the interbank forex market to replenish the country's international reserves.

Ukraine's international reserves in 2019 grew by 22%, to US$25.3 billion as of January 1, 2020, having hit a seven-year high since December 2012.
