Steel production in Ukraine 2019 shrank by 1.2%, to 20.85 million tonnes against 2018.
Production of rolled metal over the period under review fell by 0.9%, to 18.2 million tonnes, while pig iron output dropped by 2.4%, to 20.06 million tonnes, according to Ukrmetalurgprom, an association of ferrous metallurgy enterprises.
As UNIAN reported earlier, steel production in Ukraine fell by 2% in 2018, to 21 million tonnes, while rolled metal output rose by 1%, to 18.45 million tonnes. Pig iron production grew by 2%, to 20.53 million tonnes.
