Ukrainian enterprises' debts before Ukrenergo in 2019 exceed US$102.75 mln

Ukrainian enterprises' debts before National Power Company (NPC) Ukrenergo in 2019 exceeded UAH 2.5 billion, or US$102.75 million.

"UAH 2.5 billion is the total amount of the deficit of funds that we have today," Ukrenergo CEO Vsevolod Kovalchuk said at a press conference.

In particular, the debts for transmission and dispatching services amounted to UAH 1.5 billion (US$61.65 million), while UAH 0.4 billion (US$16.44 million) in companies' payments on rates was suspended under court rulings, he said. What is more, state-owned Energorynok (Energy Market) owes UAH 0.6 billion (US$24.66 million) to Ukrenergo.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) in December 2019 adopted a resolution to raise the tariffs of the integrated power grids operator, Ukrenergo, by 33% for electricity transmission and by 27.2% for dispatching services from January 1, 2020.
