NBU lets official hryvnia weaken to UAH 24.52 to U.S. dollar on Jan 24

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on January 23 set the official forex rate for Friday, January 24, at UAH 24.52 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency weaken by 19 kopiykas.

The official forex rate against the euro for Friday is fixed at UAH 27.20 per euro, which is 22 kopiykas down from the rate set for Thursday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's national currency in 2019 strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 14.5%, to UAH 23.69 and against the euro by 16.7%, to UAH 26.42.

Ukraine's national currency in 2018 strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 1.4%, up to UAH 27.69 as of January 1, 2019.

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.
