"The government plans to raise EUR 26 million in EU assistance to improve the transparency of agricultural resources management and to implement the land reform," he wrote on Telegram on January 24.

If the document, titled "EU Support for the Development of Agriculture and Small Farms in Ukraine" is signed, Ukraine may receive aid in the following sectors: institutional and sectoral reform in farming and rural development, support for small-scale farms, and promotion of land reform.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on November 13, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, adopted a draft law to amend certain legislative acts of Ukraine on farmland turnover in the first reading. The document, which was submitted by the relevant committee, is designed to launch the farmland market in Ukraine from October 1, 2020.
