"For the purpose of carrying out an unbiased inspection of retail prices for natural gas for the public, the working group includes representatives of the Big Four audit firms, namely Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young and KPMG," according to the press office of National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission.

As UNIAN reported earlier, within the framework of implementing Ukraine’s memorandum with the IMF, the National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission increased the minimum tariff for gas for the population by 3.3 times starting from April 1 this year - to UAH 3,600 per thousand cubic meters with consumption of up to 200 cubic meters of gas. In the off-season - from May 1 to September 30 - the price of natural gas amounts to UAH 7,188 per thousand cubic meters, regardless of the volume of consumption.

In addition, from April 1 the tariff for heat supplies to the population was increased by 72% to UAH 537.20 per Gcal, while the electricity tariffs for households rose by an average of 19%.

According to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, the increase in tariffs for gas and heat supply fully complies with the requirements of the country’s key creditor - the International Monetary Fund.
