According to him, the rise in reserves was mainly caused by Ukraine placing $1 billion in five-year eurobonds guaranteed by the U.S. government, payments on public and publicly guaranteed debts of an amount of $758 million, as well as a positive balance of NBU interventions on the forex market, which were estimated at $69 million.
