PM Honcharuk: Mining licenses in Ukraine to be sold via ProZorro

Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk has said licenses for the extraction of mineral resources in Ukraine will be sold exclusively via auctions in the ProZorro.Sale electronic procurement system.

"Mining licenses will be sold exclusively through e-auctions of ProZorro.Sale," he wrote on Telegram on January 30.

"The enrichment of corrupt officials at the expense of natural resources is unacceptable. Ukraine's mineral resources will be used exclusively in the interests of the Ukrainian people," the prime minister added.

Honcharuk also instructed the heads of regional state administrations and the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources to post the electronic "Subsoil User's Investment Atlas" on the official websites of the regional state administrations with a list of objects investors might be interested in.

The prime minister also called on the local governments to update the Atlas with existing investment proposals.

As UNIAN reported, the prime minister earlier announced his plan to eliminate shadow schemes in a number of government agencies.
