NBU lets official hryvnia weaken to UAH 25.03 to U.S. dollar on Feb 3

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 27.33 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on January 31 set the official forex rate at UAH 25.03 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaker by 11 kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for February 3:

US$100 will be traded for UAH 2,502.94 (UAH 2,491.96 as of January 31);

EUR 100 will be traded for UAH 2,765.87 (UAH 2,747.51 as of January 31).

The hryvnia has been falling against the dollar for the fifth day in a row after it weakened by 27 kopiykas on Tuesday, by 12 kopiykas on Wednesday, by 13 kopiykas on Thursday, and by seven kopiykas on Friday, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 27.66 per euro – the hryvnia lost 18 kopiykas in value since Friday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's national currency in 2019 strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 14.5%, to UAH 23.69 and against the euro by 16.7%, to UAH 26.42.

Ukraine's national currency in 2018 strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 1.4%, to UAH 27.69 as of January 1, 2019.

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.
