Official hryvnia gets weaker: UAH 25.08 per U.S. dollar

The hryvnia has been falling against the dollar for the sixth day in a row.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set its forex rate for Tuesday, February 4, at UAH 25.08 per U.S. dollar, letting the official hryvnia weaken by another five kopiykas.

The hryvnia has been falling against the dollar for the sixth day in a row since last Monday, January 27, according to the NBU's website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 27.75 per euro – the hryvnia has lost nine kopiykas in value since Monday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the official hryvnia in January 2020 lost 5.7% in value against the U.S. dollar, being set at UAH 25.03 per U.S. dollar, and by 4.7% against the euro, being set at UAH 27.66 per euro.

Ukraine's national currency in 2019 strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 14.5%, to UAH 23.69 and against the euro by 16.7%, to UAH 26.42.
