Lviv Airport boosts passenger flow by 28.6% in Jan, to 163,400 people

Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport in January 2020 boosted its passenger flow by 28.6% year-over-year, to 163,400 people.

The airport over the period under review handled 143,400 passengers flying on international routes and 20,000 people on domestic ones, the airport's press service wrote on Facebook on February 1.

The number of outbound and inbound flights rose by 6%, to 1,347.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport in 2019 boosted its passenger flow by 38.8% from 2018, to 2.217 million.

The airport is the largest in the west of Ukraine in terms of passenger traffic and destinations available.

In 2011, the airport underwent reconstruction. A new terminal with a total area of 48,000 square meters was built, its runway was renovated. The airport is designed for servicing aircraft of "A", "B", "C" classes, as well as "D" class (Boeing-767).
