Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova, in turn, wrote on Facebook on February 4 that her ministry since August 2019 had prepared and ensured ratification by the parliament of protocols on amendments to agreements/conventions on avoiding double taxation with Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, and Malaysia. She also noted that Denmark, Austria, the UAE, Oman, Angola, Spain, Tunisia, the Netherlands and Montenegro were in line.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada on January 14, 2020, ratified amendments to the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Singapore on avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion regarding income taxes.

According to the text of the explanatory note, the need to conclude the protocol is explained by the fact that during the negotiations with Singapore, the sides agreed amendments that should be incorporated in the agreement.
