Over the period under review, the enterprises exported over 3,496 tonnes of fish fillets.
The State Agency of Fisheries of Ukraine says Ukrainian enterprises in January-November 2019 boosted exports of fresh, chilled or frozen fish fillets by 35% in monetary terms year-over-year (y-o-y), up to US$21.8 million.
Over the period under review, the enterprises shipped over 3,496 tonnes of fish fillets abroad, the agency's press service said on February 4, referring to the State Statistics Service.
At the same time, the market of the European Union countries accounted for 93% of all supplies of Ukrainian fresh, chilled or frozen fish fillets in monetary terms (US$20.5 million), while the CIS countries' share was 4% (US$974,000), the report said.
Major export markets were Denmark (1,396 tonnes worth US$7.2 million), Germany (1,009 tonnes worth US$7 million), France (490 tonnes worth US$3.7 million), the Netherlands (124 tonnes worth US$854,000), Hungary (93 tonnes worth US$639,000), and Azerbaijan (68 tonnes worth US$556,000).

At the same time, the following fresh, chilled or frozen fish fillets were in the lead in terms of export commodity positions in absolute terms: Pacific, Atlantic, and Danube salmon (1,399 tonnes worth US$10.9 million), cod (1,086 tonnes worth US$5.3 million), pollock (61 tonnes worth US$144,500), catfish (56 tonnes worth US$243,500), and trout (77 tonnes worth US$557,600).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine in January-November 2019 boosted fresh fish exports by 39% in monetary terms y-o-y, up to US$383,800.
However, over the 11 months, exports of finished and canned fish shrank by 26%, to 3,400 tonnes.
Fish and seafood catch in Ukraine in 2019 grew by 2.2% against 2018, to 51,000 tonnes.
