Last week, the Cabinet agreed on the dismissal of Chairman of the Ukrzaliznytsia Management Board Yevhen Kravtsov.
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Željko Marček acting Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian national railways company PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia.
"Duties of the head of the Board are temporarily assigned to Željko Marček, a member of the Management Board of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia. He will act as Ukrzaliznytsia CEO until the election of the head of the Board," Ukraine's government portal reported on February 5.
Željko joined the Ukrzaliznytsia Board in 2016. In 2014-2015, he was an independent member of the Ukrrosmetall Supervisory Board. Prior to that, he served as Chief HR at StarLightMedia Group (2013-2014) and at PrJSC Dniprospetsstal (2007-2013).

In addition, Željko Marček held senior positions at McDonald's Corporation in Ukraine, Romania and the countries of the former Yugoslavia for almost 13 years. He also took part in reforming HR sector in Ukraine's Nova Poshta postal service.
As UNIAN reported earlier, last week, the Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the dismissal of Chairman of the Ukrzaliznytsia Management Board Yevhen Kravtsov, who had announced his decision to resign late in December 2019. Kravtsov said he was set to move to the public sector.
