The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a new procedure for entry and exit of citizens of Ukraine and foreign citizens to and from the Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory of Crimea.
The corresponding decision, No. 367, was published on the official Web site of the Cabinet of Ministers on Monday.
According to the document, an approved order will regulate the crossing of the administrative boundary of the Crimea free economic zone at the entrance to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and its exit for the citizens of Ukraine in accordance with the laws of Ukraine "On creation of the Crimea free economic zone and "On peculiarities of economic activity in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine," as well as for foreigners and stateless persons in accordance with the law of Ukraine "On ensuring the rights and freedoms of citizens and legal regime in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine."
In particular, entry into the territory of Crimea is carried out through checkpoints. At the same time, foreigners are required to show a passport or a special permit issued by the State Migration Service. Citizens of Ukraine may submit any identification document in accordance with the Law "On Citizenship" and "On the order of exit and entry into Ukraine."
The government has also identified a list of road and railway checkpoints.
The road traffic is allowed through Kalanchak, Chaplyna, Chonhar checkpoints, while the railway traffic is allowed through the Kherson, Melitopol, Vadym and Novooleksiivka checkpoints.
