Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk says the Cabinet of Ministers expects that Ukraine in the coming years will conclude an Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA) with the European Union (EU), or the so-called "industrial visa-free" regime.

"The 'industrial visa-free' regime, that is the signing of the ACAA with the European Union, is an important priority. We expect to achieve serious progress in this regard this year and get closer to signing [the agreement] in the coming years," he said at a joint briefing with European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi in Kyiv on February 11.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Honcharuk in October 2019 announced Ukraine's intention to get as close as possible to EU membership within five years. Ukraine hopes for a special format of partnership within the European Union's Eastern Partnership initiative, being interested in signing the ACAA, which will be a significant step towards its European integration.

In January 2020, the head of government said Ukraine had fulfilled all conditions required for concluding the ACAA.
