Ukraine is expected to produce 1.45 million tonnes of chicken meat this year.
Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Tymofiy Mylovanov says Ukraine will become a global leader in terms of chicken meat production growth in 2020, according to the Index Mundi analytical agency.

"According to their estimates, the annual growth rate of chicken meat production [in Ukraine] will be 8.61%. Thus, 1.45 million tonnes will be produced in total," he wrote on Facebook on February 11, referring to Index Mundi statistics.
The minister also added that Ukraine had traditionally been among top exporters of farm produce.
"We are the largest exporter of vegetable oil, rank second globally in terms of barley exports and fourth in terms of maize shipments. We're among the top ten exporters of wheat, butter, and oilseeds. And we rank seventh in poultry production," he said.
