Head of Ukravtodor Automobile Road Agency Oleksandr Kubrakov says Ukraine's main highways network could be upgraded within two or three years.

"I think the country has a chance to get good roads and renew their main network in two or three years. But we can show a truly unprecedented result and construction scope as early as this year," he said while presenting the government's plans during the "Knit Ukraine Together: Security, Construction, Financing" event in Kyiv on February 11.

"People don't care how many kilometers [of roads] we will laid. If they see that something is happening in their regions and normal roads are emerging, this is the result of our work. But we don't reject the plan for road construction in terms of kilometers," he added.
