NBU lets official hryvnia weaken to UAH 24.50 to U.S. dollar on Feb 13

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on February 12 set the official forex rate for Thursday, February 13, at UAH 24.50 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency weaken by eight kopiykas.

The hryvnia has fallen against the dollar after continuous growth for more than a week since February 4, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate of the hryvnia against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 26.72 – the hryvnia has lost 10 kopiykas in value since Wednesday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian hryvnia in January 2020 weakened by 5.7% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 25.03, and by 4.7% against the euro, to UAH 27.66 per euro.

Ukraine's national currency in 2019 strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 14.5%, to UAH 23.69 and against the euro by 16.7%, to UAH 26.42.

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.
