NBU strengthens official hryvnia to UAH 24.48 to U.S. dollar on Feb 14

The official forex rate of the hryvnia against the euro for Friday is fixed at UAH 26.59.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for Friday, February 14, at UAH 24.48 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by two kopiykas.

The hryvnia became stronger after it had lost eight kopiykas in value against U.S. dollar, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate of the hryvnia against the euro for Friday is fixed at UAH 26.59 – the hryvnia has gained 13 kopiykas in value since Thursday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian hryvnia in January 2020 weakened by 5.7% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 25.03 per U.S. dollar and by 4.7% against the euro, to UAH 27.66 per euro.

In 2019, Ukraine's national currency strengthened by 14.5% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 23.69 and by 16.7% against the euro, to UAH 26.42.

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.
