Ukraine's Agrarian Fund signs first contract to buy grain of 2020 harvest

The Fund on February 11 launched a forward grain procurement program for 2020.

PJSC Agrarian Fund, a leading operator in Ukraine's agrarian sector, says it has signed the first contract for the purchase of grain of the 2020 harvest.

The Fund struck a deal to buy 2,160 tonnes of 3rd grade wheat, making 100% prepayment with mineral fertilizers, the Fund's press service said on February 13.

The Agrarian Fund launched its forward grain procurement program for 2020 on February 11, the report said.

Minimum batches to buy grain from farmers are set at 100 tonnes for wheat, 100 tonnes for maize, and 50 tonnes for rye.

UNIAN memo. PJSC Agrarian Fund was created in 2013. The company is in charge of grain purchases under forward contracts to support Ukrainian farmers. It buys and sells grain. It is also involved in trade in flour and cereals.
