Ukraine, IMF have friendly relations – Zelensky

In the framework of the 56th Munich Security Conference, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a meeting with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva.

This was their second meeting this year, the president's press service recalls.

The parties discussed a number of draft laws that would help Ukraine achieve stable economic growth and provide mechanisms for the protection of its citizens. In particular, they touched upon the progress of judicial reform, the development of the rule of law system, and the so-called bank bill.

"Our meeting with Kristalina Georgieva was constructive as always," the press service quotes Zelensky as saying. "We discussed recent developments and positive achievements in our economy that will bring benefits to every Ukrainian."

Zelensky said that the dialogue with the IMF is "meaningful", while relations are "friendly."
