NBU strengthens official hryvnia to UAH 24.45 to U.S. dollar on Feb 17

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 26.49 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on February 14 set the official forex rate at UAH 24.45 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency stronger by three kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for February 17:

US$100 will be traded for UAH 2,444.7 (UAH 2,447.95 as of February 14);

EUR 100 will be traded for UAH 2,649.44 (UAH 2,658.72 as of February 14).

The hryvnia continues to strengthen after it had gained two kopiykas in value against the U.S. dollar on Thursday, February 14, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 26.49 per euro – the hryvnia gained 10 kopiykas in value since Friday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian hryvnia in January 2020 weakened by 5.7% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 25.03 per U.S. dollar and by 4.7% against the euro, to UAH 27.66 per euro.

In 2019, Ukraine's national currency strengthened by 14.5% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 23.69 and by 16.7% against the euro, to UAH 26.42.

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.
