Given the dynamics of negotiations in key markets, the exports may grow by 30% in 2020.
CEO of Ukraine's state-run Ukroboronprom Concern Aivaras Abromaviсius says exports of Ukrainian weapons and the concern's services in 2019 increased by 19%, to US$908 million.
"Following several years of decline, exports of arms and the concern's services in 2019 grew by 19%, to US$908 million, compared to US$766 million in 2018. The top countries importing our products are India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other countries of Asia and the Middle East," the company's press service quoted Abromaviсius as saying on February 21.

The most popular products of Ukraine's defense industry on foreign markets remain anti-tank missile systems, ship gas turbine engines and assemblies, as well as services related to repairs of Soviet equipment and upgrading of aircraft.
Given the dynamics of negotiations in key markets, the exports may grow by 30% in 2020, the official said.
"A modest list of advanced products, the lack of financial instruments that stimulate exports, while many countries provide buyers with loans, and the unhealthy competition of our exporters interfere with a serious breakthrough in export markets," he added.
Abromaviсius also noted that to address the problem of competition, the concern initiated changes in exporters' activities to improve their coordination and cooperation, as well as establish clear division of responsibilities.
"In the 'transition period' – while the concern is undergoing changes – four exporters will be working in foreign markets instead of six and no more than two in one market. As a result of the reform, there will be only two special exporters in the long run with the rule: one country, one exporter," he summed up.
