Volume of capital investments in Ukraine in 2019 up 11%

The largest share of almost 70% is own funds of enterprises and organizations.

The volume of capital investments in Ukraine in 2019 increased by 11% against last year, up to UAH 584.45 billion (US$23.86 billion), the State Statistics Service said.

Among the sources of capital investments, the largest share (68.1%) is own funds of enterprises and organizations (UAH 397.77 billion, or $16.23 billion), which is 6% up against 2018.

At the expense of state and local budgets, UAH 85.58 billion ($3.49 billion) was invested, which is 28.16% more than in 2018.

Bank loans and other loans as a source of capital investments in 2019 increased by 16.1%, to UAH 40.98 billion ($1.67 billion).

The volume of public funds allocated for housing construction decreased by 3.5% to UAH 32.67 billion ($1.33 billion).

The funds of foreign investors amounted to UAH 3.54 billion ($144.5 million), which is 2.3 times more than in 2018.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers is facing the task of ensuring a 40% increase in the gross domestic product in the next five years. To this end, nearly $50 billion worth of investment must be attracted.
