All shadow markets to be liquidated in Ukraine – PM

The Cabinet of Ministers intends to eliminate all shadow markets in Ukraine, says Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.

"There will be no shadow markets and schemes in Ukraine. The government will liquidate all shadow markets. We are talking, in particular, about illegal sawmills across the country," Honcharuk wrote on Facebook following a working trip to Chernihiv region, where he had inspected the local forestry.

The prime minister says he instructed heads of regional state administrations to take effective measures to introduce electronic accounting of logged wood by all forest users, while the State Forestry Agency was tasked with creating a map of legally-operating wood processing capacities and allow receiving reports from the public on any illegal sawmills.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk repeatedly stated the need to combat shadow economy, naming it one of the government's priorities.
