Ukraine's official hryvnia weakens to almost UAH 24.50 to U.S. dollar on Feb 25

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 26.51 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on February 24 set the official forex rate for February 25 at UAH 24.4995 to the U.S. dollar, which made the country's national currency weaker by almost five kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for February 25:

US$100 will be traded for UAH 2,449.95 (UAH 2,445.3 as of February 24);

EUR 100 will be traded for UAH 2,651.09 (UAH 2,641.29 as of February 24).

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian hryvnia in January 2020 weakened by 5.7% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 25.03 per U.S. dollar and by 4.7% against the euro, to UAH 27.66 per euro.

In 2019, Ukraine's national currency strengthened by 14.5% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 23.69 and by 16.7% against the euro, to UAH 26.42.

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.
