NBU lets official hryvnia weaken to UAH 24.65 to U.S. dollar on Feb 27

The official forex rate of the hryvnia against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 26.80.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on February 26 set the official forex rate for Thursday, February 27, at UAH 24.65 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency weaken by 12 kopiykas after it lost three kopiykas in value on Wednesday.

The official forex rate of the hryvnia against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 26.80 – the hryvnia has lost 20 kopiykas in value since Wednesday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian hryvnia in January 2020 weakened by 5.7% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 25.03 per U.S. dollar and by 4.7% against the euro, to UAH 27.66 per euro.

In 2019, Ukraine's national currency strengthened by 14.5% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 23.69 and by 16.7% against the euro, to UAH 26.42.

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.
