Ukrainians who are registered with the employment service will be able to get UAH 90,000, or US$3,664, to set up their own business.
"Money can only be received if they are assigned the highest unemployment compensation and have been registered [at unemployment offices] for at least a month," the Ukrainian TSN TV news service reported on February 28.
Almost UAH 400 billion (US$16.3 billion) has been allocated for the program from the state budget. Moreover, the funds will not have to be returned to the state, the publication said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, almost 400,000 job seekers had been officially registered in Ukraine.
