State budget revenues target met by 93.7% in Feb – finance minister

All significant expenses were carried out, while the government spent less on servicing and paying off debt thanks to professional debt policies and liquidity management.

Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova has said revenues of the state budget's general fund were implemented by 93.7% in February.

"Despite macroeconomic risks and new global challenges, revenues of the state budget's general fund were implemented by 93.7% of the plan. The new tax service exceeded the plan by 7.1%: revenues amounted to UAH 37.1 billion (US$1.5 billion), i.e. UAH 2.5 billion (US$101.6 million) more of the plan," she wrote on Facebook.

Markarova also said the revenues administered by the customs service had amounted to UAH 22.6 billion (US$919 million), or 78.3% of the plan, over a stronger forex rate and a reduction in imports.

According to the minister, all significant expenses were carried out, while the government spent less on servicing and paying off debt thanks to professional debt policies and liquidity management.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the state budget of Ukraine for January 2020 received UAH 50.7 billion in revenues, which is 7% lower than in the same period last year and 21.5% lower than the target figure.
