Ukrainian gas stocks shrink to 15.9 bcm since Nov 2

As of February 29, 2020, gas reserves in the country's USFs were 63% up from the figure reported as of February 29, 2019.

Natural gas stocks in Ukraine's underground storage facilities (USFs) have shrunk by 26.9%, to 15.9 billion cubic meters (bcm) since November 2, when Ukraine started pumping out gas from its reserves amid the heating season.

As of February 29, 2020, gas reserves in the country's USFs stood at 15.9 bcm, which was 63% up from 9.7 bcm as of February 29, 2019, the state-run gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine on November 2 stopped injecting gas into the underground storage facilities and began pumping it out for the 2019-2020 heating season.

By the start of the heating season, Ukraine had accumulated 21.76 bcm of gas in its underground storage facilities against 17.2 bcm year-on-year.
